Souvaris - Nobody is Fine and Everybody Needs a Drink.mp3
(A Hat, 2007)

This song has 3 or 4 different parts, each quilted in a complex, melodic fashion. There's something new to listen for with each spin.

Rating: 8.6
Genre: post-rock
From: UK
RIYL: Slint, Black Heart Procession

They're from Nottingham, where I live right now, and they supported Kieran Hebden and Steve Reid in March. Must say they were pretty dull then, but when they're on form they're not bad.

Hey, did you go? Might have seen you there.. DMST blew me away (apart from the annoying sound problems at the start)

Hey, I did go. I was wearing a 65daysofstatic t-shirt and stood near the right speaker. It was an astounding gig, one of the best i've ever been to. Do Make Say Think especially but Souvaris were pretty amazing too.

I went to see Souvaris support Do Make Say Think a couple of days ago and they were awesome - great band, and they're from where I live which is cool.

this one was awesome...
at first i was like "Slint my ass!!!"

then the end of the second track came, and then the slintyness started becoming apparent... though it tunrs out as more of a dreamy slintyness...

thanks a lot!
